Hello! I am Xenia, the solo developer of the "My Affirmations" app (hereinafter referred to as the "App"). I respect your privacy and have created this app to be a safe, peaceful space for your mind. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled, stored, retained, and how you can request its deletion.

🌸 The Short Version: Your voice recordings and personal affirmations stay 100% on your device — I never receive them. Anonymous technical data and purchase records are handled by trusted third-party services and are kept only as long as needed. You can delete your local content at any time, and you can request deletion of any third-party data by emailing me.

1. Your Personal Content (Audio & Text)

All user-generated content, including your recorded voice affirmations, texts, and local app settings, is stored locally on your phone. The App does not upload, sync, or store this personal data in any external databases or clouds. You acknowledge that if you delete the App or lose your device, this local data may be lost. See Section 4 for how to remove this data whenever you wish.

2. Data Collected by Third-Party Services

To keep the App running smoothly, track bugs, and manage PRO subscriptions, the App uses standard, secure third-party services. These services may collect anonymous usage data (such as device model, OS version, and crash reports) and purchase history.

Google Analytics for Firebase: Used to understand how the App is used (e.g., which backgrounds are popular) and to fix crashes.
RevenueCat: Used securely to process and manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. It does not access your payment details directly (that is handled by Apple/Google).

3. Data Retention

I keep different types of data only for as long as it is actually needed:

Personal content (audio & text): Stays on your device for as long as the App remains installed. It is never transmitted to me or to any server, so I hold no copy of it anywhere, at any time.
Analytics & crash data (Firebase): Anonymous usage and diagnostic data is retained for up to 14 months from collection, in line with Google's standard retention settings, after which it is automatically deleted or anonymized further.
Purchase & subscription data (RevenueCat): Retained for as long as your subscription is active, plus a limited period afterward where required for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. It is deleted or anonymized once no longer needed.

4. How to Delete Your Data

You are always in control of your data:

Personal content: Since it lives only on your device, you can delete it at any time directly within the App (e.g., removing individual recordings or entries), or remove all of it at once by uninstalling the App. Uninstalling permanently erases this local data — there is no copy left on any server for me to delete.
Third-party data (analytics identifiers, crash logs, purchase/subscription history): You can request deletion of this data by emailing me at voice.app.n1@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." I will process your request and confirm once it is complete, generally within 30 days. Please note that certain purchase records may need to be retained longer where required by applicable law (e.g., tax or accounting rules), even after a deletion request.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

I do not sell, rent, or share any of your personal information with data brokers or advertising companies. The anonymous data collected is used strictly to maintain and improve the App.

6. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features or legal requirements. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
